Mushaf Privacy Policy

Mushaf is designed to keep personal reading data on your device and to avoid tracking.

Data Stored On Device

Mushaf stores reading progress, bookmarks, notes, preferences, downloaded audio, offline Quran resources, and recitation practice state locally on your device.

The app install identifier is stored in the device Keychain and is not synced to iCloud.

Microphone And Speech Recognition

Microphone access is used only when you start live recitation guidance.

When the bundled recitation model is available, audio is processed on device for live guidance. If Mushaf falls back to Apple Speech Recognition, speech processing follows Apple's system speech recognition service.

Mushaf does not use recitation audio for advertising or tracking.

Network Services

Mushaf may contact Quran.com and related Quran content endpoints to load translations, tafsir, chapter information, search results, verse timing metadata, and audio URLs.

Mushaf may contact AlAdhan for prayer-time calculation metadata when prayer features require remote calculation support.

Remote services receive normal network metadata such as IP address and request headers. Mushaf does not sell or share this data for advertising.

Location And Notifications

Location permission is used only for prayer-time calculations when you enable location-based prayer features.

Notification permission is used only for reminders and Quran notifications that you enable.

Cloud Sync

iCloud and CloudKit sync are not enabled in this release. User progress remains local unless a future release clearly asks you to enable sync.

Support

If you contact support, your email app and email provider may share your email address and message contents with us.

Deletion

You can delete local app data by removing Mushaf from your device. Downloaded audio and model caches are removed with the app.
